Andrée De Jongh, a 24 year old Belgian woman created the Comet Line in 1941 and it was her father, Frédéric De Jongh, who gave her the nickname "Petit Cyclone". This evasion network for repatriating Allied airmen endured the longest of all during the Nazi occupation in WWII.
Altogether some 328 airmen passed through the Basque Country en route to London.
Here is our song - In Homage to the Comet Line "Little Cyclone" - Dominique Aguerre wrote the lyrics while Mixel Suhubiette set it to music, and both are members of the association "The Friends of the Comet Line".
It is performed here by the Adour Océan Marine Choir of the Adour naval air base at Anglet, in the Basque Country, under the direction of Jean Luc Casterets, accompanied by Jean Pierre Marlin on the accordion.
