Jean-Marc nous a fait l'honneur de représenter notre association aux cérémonies de Comète à Bruxelles le 22 octobre dernier.

36 participants aux commémorations « Comet-Line ». Personnes connues : Brigitte d’Oultremont, Elise Lagae, Mme Holvoet, Bernard Holvoet, Michel Houtart, Cécile Houtart, John Clinch.

Sites visités : 

Caserne de gendarmerie/prison allemande dans laquelle Jean Greindl, dirigeant de Comète a été tué lors d’un bombardement allié. 

Enclos des fusillés où 11 membres de Comète ont été exécutés par balle dans un stand de tir de l’armée belge. 

Cimetière de Bruxelles où se trouve un monument aux aviateurs belges et le carré où nombre d’entre eux tués lors de la guerre 39-45 sont inhumés ainsi que la chapelle de la famille Nothomb et le mur des fusillés où plusieurs résistants Comète ont été exécutés. 

Ci-joint, photo du groupe des participants à la journée Comet Line du 22 octobre dernier. Elle est prise devant la plaque apposée sur le portail de la gendarmerie-prison dans laquelle Jean Greindel, ancien chef de Comète a été tué par un bombardement allié en 1943. 

Les plus anciens d'entre vous reconnaitront Mme Holvoet (90 et quelques), à nouveau très vive, son fils Bernard, Elise Lagae, Brigitte, Michel Houtart et sa femme Cécile, John Clinch.

Sites visited:

German gendarmerie barracks/prison in which Jean Greindl, leader of Comète, was killed during an Allied bombing.

Shooting enclosure where 11 members of Comète were shot and killed in a Belgian army shooting range.

Brussels cemetery where there is a monument to Belgian aviators and the square where many of them killed during the 39-45 war are buried as well as the chapel of the Nothomb family and the wall against which several Comète resistance fighters were executed .

Attached, photo of the group of participants in the Comet Line day on October 22. It is taken in front of the plaque affixed to the gate of the gendarmerie-prison in which Jean Greindel, former head of Comète, was killed by an Allied bombing raid in 1943.

The oldest among you will recognize Mrs. Holvoet (90 and some) in good form and her son Bernard, Elise Lagae, Brigitte, Michel Houtart and his wife Cécile, John Clinch.
